Sen Clinton today said she would not comment on the revelation that NY Governor and prominent supporter Eliot Spitzer has been implicated in a scandal involving a high-dollar prostitution ring until more facts are known.
“I don’t have any comment on that,” she said, “but I obviously send my best wishes and thoughts to the governor and his family.”
Asked whether Spitzer would survive the scandal, Sen Clinton told reporters “let’s wait and see what comes out of the next phase, but right now I don’t have any comment. And I think it’s appropriate to wish his family well, and we’ll wait and see how things develop.”
