Obama Gets in Sharpton’s Way

New York Post

Sharpton Raps Obama

“During what a source described as a ‘heated’ phone call yesterday, Sharpton told Obama he was disappointed with the Illinois senator’s words on Friday, when Obama said ‘resorting to violence to express displeasure’ was ‘completely unacceptable and counterproductive.’ ‘[Obama] issues this statement and not a single rock had been thrown,’ said a source. ‘How does the candidate of change ask people to accept a verdict that is unjust?’” You know, Sharpton was promising to shut the city down in New York, starting Friday afternoon, and there were people that massed outside his National Action Network office in Harlem. There really hasn’t been any violence to speak of that has broken out, but Sharpton is just offended as he can be that Obama would tell him how to run his affairs, especially when there hasn’t been one rock thrown yet — operative word “yet.” So, we thought we’d go back.
