I applaude John Edwards for his honest and sincere apology to America and his family. I personally hope that his political career will not suffer (should he decide to continue to pursue politics). He is human, as we all are. Many political and non-political men and women have committed the same act, have been forgiven, and continued with their lives, just as I’m sure he will. There is no shame in being human, and I commend him for his tenacity.

While I’m terribly disappointed, I hope John will find a way to do good for the poor in America. My heart goes out to Elizabeth and I hope she can forgive him and keep their family together. It’s evident that he doesn’t care about the other woman and she’s not worth breaking up a family for. Good Luck and God Bless the whole family.

John McCain is married to a woman he had an adulterous relationship with like Mr. Edwards said he admitted it and no one seemed to touch it afterwards. Cynthia McCain also reportedly was addicted to pain killers and she stole from the relief organization she worked under did anyone make a big deal about that. John Edwards has been to hell and back;for God’s sake the man has lost a son. He was losing his wife to cancer. NO one knows the dynamics of any other man or woman’s life to judge. I would say clean up your own life before pointing the finger. He seems like a good man to me. Can’t we see if he lied or is still lieing it is because he is trying to protect others. Look at those kids he has and then judge.

Edwards is a lying, cheating disgrace, who couldn’t even wait for his wife to die of cancer before finding another woman. He only came clean and apologized because the Enquirer exposed him for what he is. A LYING BASTARD!
Now he’s denying the child is his, and the more he lies the more his nose grows bigger.
And to all of you women making excuses for that imbecil, SHAME ON YOU!

I can’t believe how much coverage this is getting. He was never even a very serious candidate. Bush has lied us into a war with the very real consequences in 4000+ dead and 10000+ wounded along with Abu Ghraib, Gitmo, the attorney general political firings etc., etc. ad nauseum. And yet the scrutiny of those myriad lies is only superficially addressed in the media even as this administration continues to lie. Where is the sanity? Why do we care more about private sexual lies than ones that literally affect peoples lives?
