As Ed Morrissey over at ‘Hot Air’ puts it;

“a Democratic failure in social engineering that will cost all of us a fortune in the coming years.”

In July 2008, Barney Frank appeared on CNBC and stated that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were “OK” although they were not the best investment at that time.

Now, two months later, Frank is ‘interviewed/mugged’ by Fox News host Bill O’Reilly.

Don’t get me wrong, Congressman Frank deserves most anything that blows his way(no pun intended), but O’Reilly really lost it again last night. It was good theater but offered no real substance.

After writing this article I remembered another group that supports Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

I wonder what the Congressional Black Caucus thinks about Freddie and Fannie now?
