  1. Looks like about 70% of “D”s voted to keep the U.S. building American cars, and about 45% of “R”s did so. It’s interesting in that of those representatives who claimed
    “conservative” credentials, many voted with liberals to support auto workers and a great many lost their elections and are not expected to run again in the future. They finally must have found their “conscience” and voted it.
